User Interface

The MapManager User Interface

The MapManager user interface consists of the following components:

Main Menu - Provides access to the operations and settings supported by the application

Toolbar - Provides quick access to the most frequently used operations

Layer panel - Displays the tree structure of the map, and allows you to add/remove or modify the settings of the map/layer/class or style objects

Property panel - The property panel provides setting the properties of the currently selected object from the layer panel

Map Window (Tab) - Renders the map view according to the current settings and symbology

Text Window (Tab) - Renders the MapFile text within the internal text editor

Status panel - Displays status information about the current extent and cursor position
